a BIG thanks

i can't even begin to understand what our men and women in uniform go through, when deployed and fighting, not only for us but for others.

michael yon is one of my favorite journalists and you can read his latest post -- its very good and highlights one of the stories that caught the attention of many around the world.  he embeds himself with our troops and writes about those experiences of the troops.  he leaves nothing out, brings out the truth and holds nothing back.

did i ever tell you that i once considered going into the armed forces?  i liked the idea of the navy!  but i thought too much about boot camp and having to run and do push-ups -- i don't have much stamina for that kind of thing -- or enjoyment.  i didn't think i could do it, so i didn't think about it anymore.

i just want to let our men and women know how much i appreciate their service.  and to those that are serving, have already served, or were k.i.a, i'm thanking God for you today and asking Him to watch over those of you still living - Lennon, Forrest, Adam, Charles, Alfred, Dan, Zach, Mitch, DJ, James, Louis, Ben, David, Guadalupe, Michael, and if you are reading this and have served, are serving, or had a family member serve our country - thank you.  thank you from the bottom of my heart.
