so it is not my light - its the Christ-light - so what? : John 1:5 The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not overcome it. (esv) that's what! if Christ lives in me, and i am living in the Light - Ephesians 5:8 niv For you were once in darkness, but now you are in the light of the Lord. Live as children of the light. - then the darkness has no power over me! the light w/in me is not so little - in fact it has overcome the darkness and is now seated at the right hand of God w/ all things under His authority! (for what living in the light consists of, check out Galatians 5:16-26). this isn't some candle that the Devil can blow out, as the song goes - he can't touch it - he tried - but Jesus defeated it - the Light of the world conquered the darkness - and no amount of huffing or puffing can stop it!
so in the end - my light isn't my light at all - but the light of Christ and it isn't little - it is so radiant, so powerful that there is no depth where it doesn't go deeper still. there is no height where it doesn't go higher still! so Lord, let me live in the Christ-light and hold it out for all to see in order that it would draw them to You and bring glory to your name!
